Dr. Robert Karl Webb, former UWW Professor Receives Lifetime Acheivement Award at 15th Annual Wisconsin Flute Festival

Linda Chatterton, one of Webb’s students and currently a professional flute player from Minneapolis, presents the award to Dr. Webb.

Webb retired from UW-Whitewater in 1989 where he served as a professor of flute and clarinet, coordinator of the music education faculty, and director of the University Flute Choir.

During his tenure at Whitewater, Webb was the most published member of the music faculty having articles pertaining to music education, philosophy of music education and articles aimed at the playing and performing of woodwind instruments and music arranging.

Now in his 91st year, Dr. Webb has most recently been recognized for his contribution to the music program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater by his inclusion in the College of Arts and Communication Wall of Recognition.

The Whitewater Community Foundation presented a check for $500 to the 15th Annual Wisconsin Flute Festival on March 10 in support of the Festival.
