Jared Apgar from Whitewater, who is studying Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is part of the 2026-27 Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) for the university’s College of Letters and Sciences.
Apgar represents the Politics, Government, and Law program(s) within the College of Letters and Sciences.
Students who serve on the DAC are invited to serve by their major department chairperson. Students accepting the appointment serve as student liaisons, who are responsible for communicating student concerns and ideas directly to the Dean for the betterment of each of their respective colleges and of the university.
The DAC meets regularly to identify proactive strategies to get students connected to faculty, staff, the campus, the community, and alumni. The group also discusses and makes recommendations about campus trends that impact services, programs, and general campus life.
UW-Whitewater offers meaningful and measurably better student-faculty interactions such as research and hands-on learning opportunities, along with small classes and a vibrant campus life. Learn more about the UW-Whitewater College of Letters and Sciences.
