GWC is Hosting the New WUSD Business Services Director

Robert Chady

The Greater Whitewater Committee is set to host the new Business Services Director for the Whitewater Unified School District, Robert Chady, to do a meet and greet and presentation on the operational referendum at the upcoming October meeting.

This event will take place on Thursday, October 8th at 7:00 a.m. at Jessica’s Family Restaurant: 140 W Main St, Whitewater, WI 53190.

Bob joined the Whitewater Unified School District as their Director of Business Services in August 2026. Bob’s background includes over 14 years of experience in school business operations throughout south-central Wisconsin districts. (Parkview, Beloit, Marshall, Lake Mills and Merton) He has had budgetary responsibility for districts ranging from $14,000,000 to nearly $100,000,000. Prior to becoming a school business official, Bob served on the Board of Education for the School District of Fort Atkinson. He served in both capacities, as a school board member in Fort Atkinson, his resident district, and as a school business official in his other district(s) for four years before term limiting himself following nine years of school board service.

Prior to a career change and entering the school business administration field, Bob gained 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector in various program and management roles working for local affiliates of the Boy Scouts of America, United Way and Boys & Girls Clubs. Bob finds the mission, roles, responsibilities & expectations strikingly similar between the non-profit field and his current school business administration duties. Bob is a two-time graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater earning his bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Administration in May 1992, and his master’s degree in School Business Management in May 2012. Bob has additional family ties to Whitewater as his grandparents, Edward Chady and Doris Hollinger Chady, were graduates of Whitewater City High School, Ed in 1942 and Doris in 1944. The two were wed at St. Patrick Catholic Church in September 1945
