The Whitewater Arts Alliance (WAA) will present Electric Eclectic VI, an invitational photography exhibition featuring 21 Milwaukee-area photographic artists whose work spans a wide range of subjects, October 1 through 25, 2026, at the Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main Street, Whitewater. An Artist Reception will be held Saturday, October 3, from 1 to 4 p.m., giving visitors the chance to meet the participating artists and hear them discuss their work. Electric Eclectic was organized by Roy Schmidt, a WAA member and former Director of Exhibitions for the Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA), and Xela Garcia, Director of Walker’s Point Center for the Arts (WPCA), both Milwaukee organizations. This year’s exhibition marks Electric Eclectic’s sixth annual iteration; it appeared earlier this year at WPCA’s Walker’s Point gallery in Milwaukee, and most of the same artists, along with several new artists, are bringing their work to the Cultural Arts Center, which previously hosted the exhibition in 2024. The Whitewater exhibition is co-chaired by Schmidt and Jeff McDonald, photographic artist and WAA President. Schmidt developed the concept for Electric Eclectic together with a group of fellow photographers, then partnered with Garcia to establish a venue at WPCA. A selection committee of photographers works by consensus to invite participating artists, with Schmidt and Garcia curating the final exhibition.
