From Coach Judy Harms:

“Whippets fall to McFarland in a tight contest 52-54 Friday night in their 2nd round match-up. At the half Whitewater was up by only 2 points 20-18, but it was quite a fiery after the break.  Whippets fell behind by as much as 10 points, playing catch up the remaining time.  The team was still down 10 with 2:30 left, when an impressive comeback took place.  Whippets brought it within three, with a chance to tie from the line, unfortunately coming up short.  Free throws was definitely a negative factor for the Whippets, going 16 for 29 on the night.  Allison Heckert managed one last steal with 1.7 seconds left to present a missed buzzer beater.    Allison  Heckert led with 13 points, while Ali Ketterhagen had 10, including 12 boards.”

The Whippets will travel to Oregon on Monday night for a non-conference match-up.
