Their dances will bring inspiring vitality to this seasons’ performance.

Hope Comes A Concert to Inspire Hope Through True Stories of Transformed Lives – Friday, September 14

Agape House, a home and school for teens, invites community members to an inspirational fundraiser concert on Friday, September 14, 2018, at CrossPointe Community Church in Whitewater, from 7:00-8:30 pm.

The concert, entitled “Hope Comes,” will feature songs written by Abbie Werner based on her personal story of recovering from anorexia and obsessive compulsive disorder. Werner’s goal to sponsor this concert is to encourage others who have felt stuck or alone in the struggles they face, having experienced firsthand the challenges and joys of moving forward to find healing.

The audience will also enjoy music written by April Eitler and the talents of local musicians and friends Jenny Abild, Moang Her, Alex Polivka, and Maggie Tanis, hearing songs of raw honesty and deepened faith in God, i.e., “One Small Step,” “Vulnerable,” and “Before It Grows.” Mixed in with the songs, teens and families who benefited from Agape House’s services will talk about the impact this program has had on their lives.

Agape House, located in Walworth, Wisconsin, began in 1997 when Ben and Pam Patterson felt called to provide a safe, loving environment for children in need. Agape House has grown to provide a school, safe home, mentoring, counseling services, and a transitional living home (18 years and older) for girls and their families throughout Walworth, Milwaukee and Dane Counties in Wisconsin and from surrounding states, including Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan. A school for boys will open soon, and upon completion of the building renovations, the home for boys will be opened as well.

The concert is free with a suggested donation of $5 per family that will go towards helping Agape House continue to offer these programs and services. However, there is no obligation to donate; all are invited to come and enjoy music and fellowship in a coffee shop atmosphere.

For more information on the concert, please check out the Facebook event, “Hope Comes: Concert for Agape House”: www.facebook.com/events/1063719160467387, or call Abbie Werner at 262-215-2025.
