Community Assistance Sought after Family Tragedy

From Police Chief Lisa Otterbacher:

For those who may not have heard there was a very tragic homicide/suicide (full story from the Daily Union, link to story added by editor) that occurred outside our community and deeply impacted two young girls who reside in our community.  These young ladies are in need of our collective help.

The services for the girls’ mother will be at 6:00 this Tuesday at the United Methodist Church – Cristo la Rocha Ministerio.  Following the services, their mother will be brought to Rocha’s (VFW Hall) to join their father’s gathering and service. Letters, cards of support and any financial contributions can be mailed to the First United Methodist Church and Pastor Susan (who will collect and deliver them to Cristo la Rocha Ministerio) to ensure they are delivered to the girls.

Additionally, for those wishing to contribute to the girls directly, donations can be made to the Family Emergency Fund (Ramirez girls) through the Whitewater School District at the District office or the High School during business hours.
