From Coach Maas:

This week was a great week for our student athletes.  We got a lot of quality work in and we found out some things about the athletes and helping them discover some new events.  It was fun watching our young kids perform at the Jefferson Meet.  They got to compete against their peers and they really came into their own at this meet.

At the Randy Lyon Memorial you will see from the results that our student-athletes, once again, got after it.

When we put athletes in events this time of year we are always trying to find out where their strengths are as well as blend in quality work.  Everything we do now, the events we put kids in, encouraging them to try different events, helps gear the entire team for meets down the road.  The fact that our student-athletes work so hard, are focused on their goals, and focused on excellence, team, and family, makes them an absolute pleasure to coach.  They are training, racing, jumping, vaulting and throwing just like one would expect from the Whippets.
