J-Hawks compete at Wisconsin State Swimming Championships

The J-Hawk Aquatic Club had ten 13 & Over athletes competing at the Wisconsin State Swimming Championships this past weekend.

J-Hawk State Team:  Dani Cramer, Gaby de Moya-Cotter, Sophia Fanshaw, Grace Foucault, Ella Gorski, Ella Houwers, Cameron Krause, Young Liang, Ruby Schieldt, and Brianna Zimdars

Dani Cramer led the team as she finished in 4th place, in the highpoint awards, for the senior girls.  Dani had an outstanding weekend, qualifying for nationals in the 200 fly and 400 IM.  She also swam a 1:59.93 200 back and a 55.44 100 back (the 2:00 barrier is a huge accomplishment, in this event).  Dani now has 9 events that she can choose from, at nationals (50 back, 100 back, 200 back, 50 fly, 100 fly, 200 fly, 100 IM, 200 IM, and 400 IM), which shows an incredible versatility.

Dani, Ella Houwers, Gaby de Moya-Cotter, and Brianna Zimdars achieved the national qualifying time for the 400 medley relay and the 200 medley relay.

Young Liang broke the team record in the senior 100 IM.
