It’s time once again for #FlashbackFriday with the Whitewater Historical Society.

Monday is Labor Day and here we see some men “laboring” on Whitewater Street around 1900. We have a number of photos of building old city hall and this may be one that was taken as a crew was preparing the site for that building. In any event it shows how hard site work was at the time. Although. . . it could have been staged with local dignitaries–why? Several of the men are in shirts, ties, vests, and jackets. Don’t know if the average laborer wore that type of clothing while working. The man at the right in overalls looks more authentic. Happy Labor Day!
