Fairhaven Lecture – How are They Holding Up?: The Status of Great Books in a Chaotic (Western) World

This talk will explore the survival of Great Books as an antidote to chaotic intellectual forces as well as a tool for critical thought within higher education. It will also highlight a select few texts that embody the idea of Great Books by transcending time, place, and the ever-changing preoccupations of the modern world.
