Winchester True Value
Hardware is one of Whitewaters oldest if not the oldest continuous business in
town. It started in 1846 when Sanger Marsch and John Partridge opened up
a hardware store at what is now 153 W Main. The stores ownership has changed
hands approximately 8 times in all of the years in business. In 1980 Steve
Johnson bought the business from Paul Baker. In 1995 the store relocated from
the downtown to its present location of 1415 W Main on Whitewater's west side.
In that move the store expanded its selling area by almost four times. The
store offers a wide variety of products. Including a full line of major
appliances from Maytag, General Electric and Crosley appliances. Also a very
complete rental department offering many tools and party ideas for both the
consumer and contractor. Pictures from within the store gives you an idea of
the variety of products offered by Steve and his very competent
staff.
Other departments include a great paint department where custom
blended paints are an everyday occurrence, A complete plumbing department with
water heaters to repair parts, a great selection of nuts bolts and assorted
fasteners to but almost anything back to gether again. Also offering a large
lawn and garden department featuring Ariens power equipment, Stihl chain saws
and live plant when in season. Stop in and visit us and remember to
sign up for True Value Rewards. A rewards program which
pays you cash back on each purchase when shopping at True Value
